Presenting The Putting Away, the second release in the Seasons of Life series and the first release with Peace in the Storm Publishing LLC. The Putting Away addresses Domestic Violence from the aspect of what God's Word says in Malachi 2:16. It is not enough for us as believers to emphatically state that God hates divorce in a manner in which Domestic Violence should be dealt with; we have to understand and share that God hates "the putting away." He hates the very things that occur in marriage relationships that lead to divorce.
Domestic Violence is rapidly becoming an epidemic in our communities and churches. There is a reported 1200 deaths and 2 million injuries to women due to intimate partner violence each year in the U.S., causing 15.5 million U.S. children to live in families where the violence occurs. It is far past time for a change, and it begins with prayer, understanding and action.
In The Putting Away, Denise, a single mom, has finally met the man of her dreams; one she can settle down with. As a bonus, he is the perfect partner to help her to raise her son, Amir. Bernard loves Denise with all of his heart, and other than his weekend drinking binges, he’s a pretty good man. The break up to make up scenario makes it all better and pacifies Denise every time.
