Reviews for The Putting Away

Denise, Tonya and Lisa are the best of friends. They may not always see eye to eye, but they are there for each other when it counts. Denise has found the love of her life, or so she thinks, in Bernard. She soon realizes all that she has found in him is a violent drunk with a strong right hook. Bernard's violence not only wreaks havoc for Denise but also her ten-year-old son and her close friends.

Tonya and her husband, Gary, are a God-fearing couple that on the outside seem to have the perfect marriage. On the inside Gary's neglect has turned Tonya to another man and Gary's pride won't allow him to move forward in saving his family.

Lisa is loving life with her husband and new baby girl. Even though she's miles away in California she still has her finger on the pulse of the drama going on in her friends' lives and is only a plane ride away with a helping hand and sound advice. Lisa wonders will they be there for her if and when she needs them.

"The Putting Away" by Sharel E. Gordon-Love is an excellent story, well written and put together. There were a few grammatical errors and issues with word spacing; it didn't distract the reader from the story. I think anyone reading "The Putting Away" will be able to get something from it. For me, I came away with the importance of communication. Communication between friends, family, self and, most importantly, God. I give this story a 5. Well done!

The Putting Away is a book about relationships with issues. This book was a rollercoaster of suspense, drama and frustration. I experienced many emotions while reading this book. The author does a wonderful job of pulling the reader into the story to the point you feel every emotion the characters are going through. This storyline flows very well with well-developed characters that will keep readers on their toes and on the edge of their seats. I recommend this book to others.
